Dolce and Gabbana Perfumes

Two men are known for making 'stars look like stars' and their names are Domenico Dolce - who was born in 1958 near Palermo, Sicily) and Stefano Gabbana - who was born in 1962 in Milan, Italy.They form an extraordinary design duo and they make you wander if all the great designers come from Italy.

They met in Milan while working in the same atelier. They both loved baroque and soon they became life and business partners. In 1985 the organizers of the Milano Collezioni, wanting to launch 'New Talents' invited them to a fashion show.

Their first independent show was presented in 1986 and it was a women’s 'ready-to-wear' show.After a while they made also menswear and signature fragrances. You can see their distinctive style worn by Nicole Kidman, Isabella Rossellini, Madonna and Demi Moore. They made the so famous now " Kylie Minogue T-shirt.

Isabella Rossellini says she love them as they find their way out of any black dress, any buttoned-up blouse and they make women look devastating sexy.

Playing another card than the Italian fashion houses such as Versace and Armani, Dolce and Gabbana recognized that they had an enormous success and also a good luck. By the age of 40 they announced an early retirement as in 1997 their company reported a turnover of L400 million.

In 1996 D&G took a musical turn and recorded to a techno beat their own single singing " D&G is love".
